The VMC 6535 HTX has a large work envelope of 1,651mm x 889mm x 787.4mm XYZ travels and 1,905 mm x 889 mm table designed for ease of loading and machining massive work pieces.
Heavy Duty Cast Iron Construction
All major components (base, column, saddle, table and head) are made of fine grain grey cast iron with heavy ribbing to ensure excellent vibration dampening characteristics and prevent deformation during aggressive cutting of titanium and hardened steel materials.
Box Way Construction
Flame-hardened box ways with four on the base casting, better support heavy large part applications, providing the rigidity and vibration damping requirements for higher performance.
Spindle Drive System
Powerful 50 taper 48 HP* high torque spindle drive system can cut even the toughest materials at low speeds (441 ft.-lbs. @ 575 RPM). Double-mounted extra-large 63-mm ball screws guarantee precise positioning for high-accuracy machining of massive parts.
Tool Changer
VMC 6535 HTX is equipped with 32-tool dual-arm Automatic Tool Changer (DATC), featuring a 2.5 seconds tool-to-tool change time.
Cool Power
6535 HTX features “Cool Power”, a refrigerated cooling system that maintains a constant temperature of the ball screws and spindle, reducing the effects of thermal growth, providing consistent repeatability accuracy.
